From time to time, Walt Disney World releases discounts during slower times of the year in order to attract more visitors. If you are planning on visiting Disney World over Christmas, during Spring Break or during the middle of summer, it is very unlikely you will see discounts at all. Discounts come in two flavors, room only discounts and Magic Your Way package discounts. The room only discounts cover general public, Annual Passholder and Florida resident discounts. The package discounts are typically for the general public, though you often see regional discounts for Canadian or UK residents.

Below is a list of all current Walt Disney World discounts, with a brief synopsis and a link to more information:

Magic Your Way Package Discounts

• June – August MYW package discounts – June 20 – August 8, 2009 – Anyone can get a discount on the room portion of their Magic Your Way package.
• August – October Disney VISA Free Dining – August 16 – October 3, 2009 – Disney VISA cardholders can book a Magic Your Way package and get the Disney Dining included for free
• August – October Disney World Free Dining – August 16 – October 2, 2009 – Anyone can book a Magic Your Way package and receive the Disney Dining included for free

Disney World Room only discounts

• June – August Annual Passholder discounts – June 20 – August 8, 2009 - Annual Passholders receive a discount off of their room only reservation.
• June – August General Public discounts – June 20 – August 8, 2009 – Anyone can receive a discount off of their room only reservation.

Other Disney World Discounts

From time to time, Disney World offers special discounts, such as military or bounce back discounts. Currently, here is what is available:

• Disney’s Armed Forces Salute Ticket – Janaury 4 – December 23, 2009 – Active Duty and retired military members can receive a free 5 day park pass to Disney World. Companion tickets are available for $99 each.
• Military Room only discount – January 4 – December 23, 2009 - Active Duty and retired military members can receive up to a 40% discount on a Disney Resort room.
