2013 Fall Free Disney Dining

Travel Dates: September 29 – December 22, 2013

Walt Disney World has announced a brand new Disney Free Dining offer for select Fall, 2013 dates! Currently only for the travel dates listed below:

  • September 29 – October 2, 2013
  • October 18 – November 2, 2013
  • November 11 – 23, 2013
  • December 12 – 22, 2013

Please note that in order to qualify for the free dining offer, your must check in during one of the available dates above. Your stay can extend into one of the black out periods, you will still receive the free dining for your entire stay. Availability is extremely limited, and not all resorts may be available.

  • Guests staying at a Walt Disney World value resort will receive the Quick Service Dining Plan for free. Guests will be able to upgrade to either the Disney Dining plan or the Deluxe Disney Dining plan by paying the price difference. To upgrade to the Disney Dining Plan, the increased cost will be $19.00 per adult per night of your stay, and $2.84 per child. To upgrade to the Disney Deluxe Dining plan, guests will pay $63.39 per adult and $12.52 per child per night of your stay.
  • Guests staying at a Disney World Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Disney Villa resort will receive the Disney Dining Plan included for free. Disney World guests at moderate, deluxe and villa resorts will also be able to book the “Free Dining”, and upgrade to the Disney Deluxe Dining for the normal price difference, which is $44.38 for adults and $19.68 for children three to nine per night of your stay.

Availability is extremely limited. It appears that all suites, campsites and 3 bedroom villas have been excluded from this offer, as is All-Star Movies, Port Orleans French Quarter  and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (bot Family Suites and the Little Mermaid standard rooms). All other Disney resorts, including value resorts are included in the offer. Three night minimum stay required, and a maximum stay of 14 nights is allowed per reservation. You must also purchase a minimum 2 day basic park pass per person per reservation to qualify.

This offer must be booked by September 15, 2013. Book early, availability for most dates will be gone very, very soon. For Canadian Residents, this offer will be available until November 15, 2013.

    Hi Keith! We are thinking about going to Disney Word on Feb. 5th-15th. We usually go in October. Can you tell me how different the crowds will be and what the weather will be like? Which would you prefer?

      Annie – Lower crowds, but in early February, you have a good chance of the weather being either cool or cold. Most days are high 70’s during the day, but if you get a cold front, it can easily drop to the 50’s and rain for a few days to a week at a time. We travel every year the last week of February. Usually light crowds and decent weather. I would rather deal with the weather being a bit cool than the crowds.

    Ok. Do they ever offer any free dining in Feb.?

      Annie – Very, very rarely. I can only remember once that we have seen free dining in the Spring available to everyone, and one other time with a PIN code.

    We have already booked our trip with a check-in date of 12/3. Any chance they may include additional dates going forward?

      Matt – Very, very doubtful. They have only altered dates once that I can remember after a deal was released. That week is really, really busy, I can’t see them adding to to free dining.

    Do they ever offer free dining during the month of June?

      Pat – Free Dining has been historically offered in the Fall only, specifically late August and September, with the offer being extended to October through December the last few years. We did see Spring free dining one year (2011). I believe that year there were a few dates after Memorial Day, and it did extend into June (like June 2). Other than that, nothing at all.

    We have a trip scheduled for January 2014….any chances of free dining then???

      Laura – Possible, but not probable. We have only seen free dining in January once, and that was 2011, so doubtful we will see it again. Much more likely we will see some other type of package deal, and it should be soon.

    Keith I see you said to Laura that free dining is not typical for January. We go to disney the end of January every year for the past 4 years and we have had free dining the past 3 years, in 2010 we got buy 7 nights for price of 4 with gift card. I would bet free dining will be offered again for January 2014

      Samantha – Disney has only offered free dining to the general public once, in 2011, and you had to book it super early, like in August. We have seen free dining in January offered via PIN code or to select locations (like UK residents), but not to everyone. We are fully expecting discounts, but it is much more likely we will see something like the buy 4 get 3 free rather than the free dining.

    On Oct 10, 2012 it was announced for January 2013
    On Aug 24, 2011 it was announced January 8/12-march 29/12
    On Aug 16, 2010 it was announced for January 1/1 – March 3/11

    And I’m betting it will be announced Oct 8, 2013 for Janaury 2014

    Those were all American Public offers

      I apologize, you are partially correct. Free dining was released in August 2010 and 2011 for Spring the following years, I had forgotten about the one year. So, free dining was available to everyone in 2011 and 2012, but not before that and not in 2013.

      Many people confused the 2013 discount with free dining. The discount was close to free dining at some resorts, but no where close at others. We did see a PIN code for free dining for early 2013 as well.

      It is possible we may see free dining for 2014, however, the only two times it happened in the past, it was released in August. At this point, I feel it is much more likely we will see some other type of discount. Guess we will just wait and see.

    Can we purchase the meal plans if we’re not staying on a disnet resort?

      Kay – Nope, that is one of the perks of staying on Disney property. They can only be purchased as part of a package that includes your Disney hotel and park passes.
