Any idea if you can get the discounts retroactively? We have planned, reserved, and paid for a WDW trip with dining package during those times.

    Thanks,

Yes, the discounts can be applied to existing reservations. Call Disney directly, or your travel agent if you use done, and have them apply the discount. Availability during much of the time is tough to find, but it is worth a call. Make sure you check alternate resorts if yours is not available, it may be cheaper to upgrade to a nicer resort with the discount.

My family has already booked and paid the downpayment on AKL from December 11-15. Can the Magic Your Way with Dining package discount be applied for a portion of the trip – Dec 13-15?

Unfortunately, no. It has to be available for your entire stay in order for it to be applied. I checked a couple of options for you, looks like nothing is available at AKL for those nights. Outside of a few concierge rooms at Beach Club or Yacht Club, everything seems to be sold out. Keep checking with Disney though, something may open up.

I called my travel agent re the discounts on my already paid in full trip. It resulted in a refund on my behalf. It’s only about 10% of the room only rate but it’s better than nothing.

We called the Disney booking folks, and we were credited $230, which I think was on the room rates only, but money back is money back. Thanks!

Hi, I am planning a trip to disney world December 4, 2008 to December 13, 2008 and I was wondering if there are any discounts or promotions going on. Thanks.

By the way — great website.

Yes, there are currently three discounts available, this MYW package discount, and then two room only discounts (FL Resident and AP holders).

However, for the dates you are currently going, just about everything is sold out, even at full rate. You will notice in the Blackout Dates above, basically your entire travel time is blacked out, and that is because everything is already sold out.

Are you locked into those dates?

We did not make reservations yet. It doesn’t sound like we can go dec. 4-13 anyway. We are half planning on staying in the all star resorts and our schedule is wide open November and December–any suggestions on the best time in those two months? We want to stay at least 9 days. Are there any benefits to staying outside the park? Thanks!!

The middle 10 days of each month seem to be pretty wide open, and shouldn’t be too crowded at all. Definitely stay on-site, it won’t be any cheaper to stay off-site, and staying on-site you get up to 4 hours extra in the parks, free transportation and you get to stay with Disney among many perks.

    Hi Keith,

I just typed in Nov. 12-21st on the wdw website and the all star movie resort was available for roughly $1810.00 for 2 adults, 1 junior and a 2 year old. Does that seem like a fair price and does the 12th through the 21st seem like decent dates? Thanks alot!!

It is hard to tell if that is a decent price or not, I don’t know what you had included. Here is what I get:

All-Star Sports, standard view room: $1,220.58

This is for 9 nights with 10 day basic park passes, etc. Here are the option prices:

    Park Hopping: $144
    Water Park Fun: $160
    Disney Dining: $1,026

Does that add up to what you had?

    Hi Keith,

Well, you just saved us about $600.00. I booked Nov. 12-21st for $1180.00. I called today and they gave me a quote of $1800-just like over the internet–then I asked about the promotion that you have on here–she said she wasn’t sure-so she would check. Sure enough, she came back and said that we are getting a really good deal now and the price came to $1180–I said please book us. Thanks alot–we’re really glad we came across this website.

Yes, the discount on this page is available for your dates at most of the Disney resorts. You may want to get in touch with a Disney travel agent, or call Disney directly so they can check on availability and prices for you.

Can you please tell me if there will be a free dining offer for the rest of 2008. That is a great savings for families on a very tight budget….

    Thanks!

No, there will not be free dining for any further dates in 2008. Disney has never extended the free dining past the original offer dates, and will not this year.

However, Disney did send out quite a few post cards last week offering the free dining as a promotion for October through December 2008, but the post cards contain a PIN number, and only the recipient can use it. If you get one, great, but if your neighbor gets one, you cannot use it.

HI, We are going to Disney World Nove. 4-November 11 (we will be there 7 days). I am concerned about the small rooms at All Star and am thinking of booking the suite at All Star music. Does anyone know of any specials that tie into that for the dates we will be there?

These MYW package discounts cover your dates, however I am not showing any of the family suites available for your dates. Have you considered doing two connecting rooms at one of the value resorts? Same size as the family suite, but it will be cheaper for you, and it is available at a discounted rate.

Help! I am trying to plan a trip and have no idea where to start. I want to go during a cheaper and less crowded season but want it to be warm enough to swim with the dolphins. Does Disney offer a swim with dolphins opportunity or do I have to go somewhere else for that? I need guidance. I would love a free dining ticket we are open to dates. We just want to make sure we deal with legitimate planners. Sandy

Sounds like you need the help of a good Disney travel agent. Contact our sponsors Mouseketrips, they will help you out. There are other decent ones too if you want to look around, but we have found Mouseketrips to be the best.

BTW, Disney does have a few swimming activities with dolphins and the like, and they are all indoors, so the time of year doesn’t matter. Not as cool as Discovery Cove, but quite a bit cheaper.

    Keith,
Thanks for the infromation.I did ask about that when I called the resort and they said that I would have to have 5 in my party to qualify for the adjoining rooms. I questions this several times during our conversation. They said I could book 2 rooms, but they would not be adjoinging, only side by side. Sounds strange…

    Hi

Just booked AKL for Dec 19-22 with Free Dining Plan, great deal. We may arrive in Orlando at 1am on that Dec. 19th morning and was thinking about getting a 1 night stay at a value resort just for that night, are you aware if that can be added to current reservation and meal plan giving me four days for meals or must I make a separate reservation?

Unfortunately, no. You will need to make a room only reservation for the one night at the value resort, it will not include the free dining. You may be able to extend your current reservation at AKL for one night, it might be more expensive, but you would get one more night’s worth of dining plan, making it close in price to the value resort, and would save you having to move resorts in the morning.

Currently, there are only two ways to get the free dining in November:

    1. With the Disney VISA free dining

    2. If you received a postcard or email directly from Disney with a special PIN code on it (they are non-transferable).

If these two options don’t work for you, you will need to just stick with the MYW package discounts and call it good.

The problem isn’t the code, it is available on this site elsewhere (QXZ). With the Disney VISA promotion, you are required to pay the deposit at the time of booking with your Disney VISA, so you must have it in hand ready to go to book.

    Hi Keith,

I just got an email for free dining Oct. through Dec. We have our trip planned for Nov 12 through 21st and we also paid for our trip with our disney visa–do you know if we qualify for the free dining? Or where could I find information about it?

You will need to call whoever booked your original reservation. If it was a travel agent, give them a call, or if you booked directly through Disney, then call them. Just give them the PIN number in the email you received from Disney, they will check to see if you qualify for the free dining, or what the PIN discount gives you.

You should also qualify for the Disney VISA free dining, you can see more about that here:

    http://www.mousemisers.com/2008/disney-visa-free-dining-october-december-2008/

Have them check both, and switch to the one that gives you the best deal (they may be the same, but it is worth checking both).

No discounts yet for 2009. All current Disney discounts are posted in the top right hand corner of every page here at MouseMisers. I would suggest you sign up for our email list, you will then get an email the day January discounts are released.

Typically, the January discounts are free park hopping and water park added to your park passes, along with a discount on the room portion of your package. It could be the same for 2009, or something completely different.

Yes, there will be discounts, based on the number of times they have discounted packages and rooms this Fall, you can fully expect discounts for January sometime soon.

I would get your reservation booked with a decent travel agent, let them worry about discounts. They should apply anything that comes along for you. You can then start any dining reservations you want, no need to wait.

We are not a travel agency, I would suggest you contact our sponsor Mouseketrips, they should be able to help you.
