Please note that some resorts have been excluded from the discounts, including Port Orleans French Quarter, All-Star Movies, the Little Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation, 3 bedroom villas and campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. While not listed, they may be discounted for some dates, but not others.

This offer must be booked by June 14, 2013.

Guests can book either a room only reservation or a package reservation including tickets and dining plans, though only the room portion and Magic Your Way park passes will be discounted, the dining plan will be at full rate. Availability is limited.

A Disney VISA is required to book this trip. Guests will have to pay the deposit with their Disney VISA at the time of booking. With Disney VISA discounts, information is usually very slow in getting out to the public. We will update this information as soon as we are able to get more specifics.

This offer is scheduled to become available to the general public on April 2, 2013.

Do you know if they will be offering free dining any time soon?

Tessa – No, we do not know, and don’t let anyone tell you that they do, because they don’t. We are fully expecting it to be released for September, probably sometime in the next month, but we won’t know for sure until it is actually released.

    Hi Kieth,
We are traveling August 15-24th and from what I have heard freed dining will start at the end of my trip. This was also the case last summer as our travel dates are very limited. Is it likely we will see a room only offer for my dates as we did last year. I keep hearing our week will be excluded from any kind of discount but I find that very hard to believe…thoughts??
    Thanks so much,
    Carrie

Carrie – No idea at all at this moment. Most likely, if I had to guess, is that we will see another room only that covers from August 15 – the end of September, assuming we see free dining for a later start date in August. With discounts, it is kind of useless to speculate, you kind of going on what happened the year before, and how things are going this year and guess. No one has any better info than that, you really just have to wait and see.

Last year, there was a room only discount from August 15 – September 29:

What would the approximate discount on an 8-day MYW ticket with PH be? We’ve got a trip booked for September and we want to sorta start planning our budget if the deal is similar if it comes out in September.

    Thanks!

Zach – The ticket discount isn’t huge. The ticket discount is about $40 per person, give or take a few dollars. Better than nothing, but again, not huge. It is very likely we will see a better discount in September, it is historically the lowest attendance month, and usually has the best discounts.

Keith. I’ve heard that some never discounted resorts like POFQ sometimes are discounted on Orbitz and similar sites. Any experience with this?

Mike – Not for years and years. Disneyland used to dump extra rooms with Expedia, I think, but that was 8 – 9 years ago. I haven’t seen anything like that at all since that time. The non-discounted resorts tend to fill up at full rate, which is why they aren’t included in the discounts.

It is worth checking though, I have seen dates were POFQ is discounted the same as the other moderates, but they don’t include it in the discount because only a few days here and there are discounted, not all of them.

Keith- I’ve heard Disney only has one offer listed at a time. If true – would that mean that any late August/Sept offers of Free Dining wouldn’t be released until June 15 when the current date to book the Summer deal expires?

Eric – Definitely not a hard and fast rule. They like to have only one deal at a time, so they can promote the one deal, but there have been times in the past when there have been multiple deals out for different time frames.

I would surprise me if they wait until June for September deals, they have never waited past the end of April in the past.
