Disney Cruise has announced a special Kids Sail Free on select 6 and 8 night Disney Cruises that sail from Galveston, Texas, during the 2013 travel dates listed above. Book a Category 11B (Standard Inside stateroom through Category 4A (deluxe family stateroom with veranda) and kids ages 17 and under, traveling with two full-fare Guests in the same stateroom, sail FREE on most Galveston cruises. These cruises sail out of Galveston, Texas, and are the Disney Magic.
With the new 8-night Bahamian itinerary sailing from Galveston, you can visit the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney’s own private island paradise, Castaway Cay. Included in the cruise fare on this itinerary is a 1-Day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper Option for each Guest and complimentary round-trip transportation between the ship and the Resort.

I’m looking at the Disney cruises and wondering how often they run kids sail free and what times during the year are most typical if they’ve done them before? Are they typically out of Galveston?

Matt – Since Disney started doing Kids Sail Free, they have all been at non-standard ports, so Galveston, Los Angeles, Miami, etc. They typically are in the off season too, so Fall, Winter and Spring, avoiding any holidays, busy periods, etc. The cruises out of Galveston do not appear to be selling well, I would think it is likely we will see Kids Sail Free or some other offer for Fall dates too, released sometime early this Summer.
