2014 Disney Cruises

Disney Cruise Line announced today partial itineraries for the 2014 cruising season. The Disney Dream was introduced in 2011, and her sister ship, while the Disney Fantasy first sailed in early 2012. The Disney Magic and Wonder were the first two ships, released a few years ago.

Currently, only the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy 2014 schedule has been released through August, 2014, while the Disney Magic and Wonder are only released through May, 2014. Updates will be announced at some point in the future.

Disney Dream

The Disney Dream will be sailing 3 and 4-night Bahamian cruises out of Port Canaveral during all of 2014. With stops at Nassau and Castaway Cay, the Disney Dream will continue the tradition of excellent family friendly Bahamian cruises. The three night cruises will sail every Thursday, the four night cruises will set sail every Sunday. Currently, only January through August 2014 is available.

Disney Fantasy

The Disney Fantasy will be sailing 7 night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises out of Port Canaveral during 2014. The Eastern Caribbean cruises will make stops in St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Castaway Cay. The Western Caribbean cruises will make stops in Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Castaway Cay. The Disney Fantasy sets sail every Saturday.

During the summer of 2014, the Western Caribbean cruises on the Disney Fantasy will also be making stops in Jamaica, and will have a different itinerary than the earlier Western Caribbean cruises. The ship will stop in Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Falmouth and Castaway Cay. These cruises will run every other week from May – August, 2014.

Disney Magic

During early 2014, the Disney Magic will return to her home port of Port Canaveral, Florida, and will sail alternating 3 and 4-night Bahamian cruises, along with the Disney Dream, with stops in Port Canaveral, Nassau and Castaway Cay. At this point, it appears as though the four night cruises will set sail every Monday, while the three night cruises will set sail on Friday.

Update February 12, 2013: The Disney Magic will venture to Europe, with Venice, Italy and Barcelona serving as the home ports, and will feature a new 9- night Greek Isles cruise:

Ports: Venice; Katakolon; Pireaus; Kusadasi; Rhodes; Mykonos; Venice (overnight)

Departure dates: June 26, July 5

European Details:

  • 4-night cruise from Barcelona with two stops in Spain (Palma, Mallorca and Ibiza)
  • 5- and 7-night cruises from Barcelona to France (Villefranche) and Italy (La Spezia and Civitavecchia, plus Naples on the 7-night itinerary)
  • 12-night cruises from Barcelona to France (Villefranche), Italy (La Spezia and Civitavecchia), Greece (Piraeus and Mykonos), Turkey (Kusadasi) and Malta (Valletta)
  • 12-night cruises from Barcelona to France (Villefranche), Italy (La Spezia, Civitavecchia, Naples and Venice), Croatia (Dubrovnik) and Malta (Valletta)
  • 12-night cruises from Barcelona (ending in Venice) to France (Villefranche), Italy (La Spezia, Civitavecchia, Naples, Catania and Venice), Greece (Corfu) and Croatia (Dubrovnik)
  • 12-night cruises from Venice (ending in Barcelona) to Greece (Piraeus, Rhodes, Heraklion, Mykonos andSantorini), Turkey (Kusadasi) and Malta (Valleta)

After Europe, the Magic will sail four cruise out of San Juan, Puerto Rico for the first time ever. These cruises will sail to the Southern Caribbean, including Grenada – a new port of call for Disney.

Known as the “Spice Isle,” Grenada offers Disney Cruise Line guests a lush and lively destination filled with spice estates, tropical gardens, beautiful beaches, thrilling diving, snorkeling, fishing and exploration through mountain landscapes and waterfalls. A picturesque harbor is home to shops stocked with spices and restaurants serving unique cuisine combining Creole, Caribbean and West Indian flavors.

Ports: San Juan; Antigua; St. Lucia; Grenada; Barbados; St. Kitts

Departure dates: September 20, 27, October 4, 11, 2014

The Disney Magic will then sail 4 and 5 night cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean out of Miami, Florida through the end of 2014.

Disney Wonder

During early 2014, the Disney Wonder will sail out of Miami, Florida, sailing 4 and 5-night cruises. The four night cruises will be Bahamian cruises, with stops in Castaway Cay, Nassau and Key West. The five night cruises will be Western Caribbean cruises, with stops in Miami, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Some of the 5-night cruises will have alternate itineraries, and will stop in Cozumel and Castaway Cay.

As with the Disney Magic, the itinerary has only been announced through May, 2014. Additional ports and destinations will be announced at some future date.

  • 4-night Bahamian dates: January 15, 29, February 12, 26, March 12, 26 and April 9, 23, 2014
  • 5-night Western Caribbean dates: January  10, 24, February 7, 21, March 7, 21 and April 4, 18
  • 5-night Western Caribbean with Castaway Cay dates: January 19, February 2, 16, March 2, 16, 30 and April 13, 27

Update February 12, 2013: The Disney Wonder will once again head to Alaska in 2014, sailing out of Vancouver, Canada. The Wonder will sail one 9-night Alaskan cruise, and the remainder of the summer will be 7 night cruises:

NEW Nine-night Alaska:

Ports: Vancouver, Sitka, Tracy Arm (scenic cruising through fjord), Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan

Departure date: May 24, 2014

Seven-night Alaska:

Ports: Vancouver, Tracy Arm (scenic cruising through fjord), Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan

Departure dates: June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, July 7, 14, 21, 28, August 4, 11, 18, 25, September 1, 2014

After the September 1 cruise, there will be a 4 night cruise to San Diego, then a Panama Canal cruise to Port Canaveral, Florida. The Wonder will then sail 4 and 5 night Bahamian cruises out of Port Canaveral until at least mid-November. More info and dates to come.
