Walt Disney World has just announced that the current buy 4 get 3 free promotion will be extended to cover more dates during the summer, 2009. Starting February 9, the buy 4 get 3 free promotion will be available for stays through August 15, 2009.

This is great news for those traveling in July and August. It also appears that the September discount, whether it will be free dining or not, will be available starting for stays on August 16.

For the second time in as many months, Walt Disney World as extended the Buy 4 get 3 Free promotion. Set to expire January 24, the new expiration date is now March 29, 2009. However, starting on January 25, the dates that will be available for booking will be reduced substantially:

Valid for stays most nights March 1-9, March 17 — April 4, and April 19 — June 27, 2009.

The $200 Disney Gift Card is still available for check-ins before March 29. Availability is very limited for many dates. The sooner you can book, the better, as rooms at many resorts are disappearing quickly.

Update [January 26, 2009] – It appears that Disney has not reduced availability to the dates listed above, they seem to be more of a suggestion as to when availability is best, rather than an actual limit on availability. Of course, this could change in the future.

Travel Dates: January 4 – August 15, 2009

Walt Disney World has released their most aggressive discount ever, covering nearly 6 months of 2009. Book a 7 night Magic Your Way package, complete with Disney resort and at least 4 day Magic Your Way park passes, and pay for a 4 night stay, giving you three days/nights free!

Please note that some dates between April 4 – 18, 2009, are blacked out, and may not be available.

You can add any of the Disney Dining plans to these packages (except the premium and platinum plans), however, you will not get “nights free”, you will pay full price on the dining plans. You can stay longer than 7 nights, up to 10 nights total, however, you will only receive three of your nights free, you will pay full price for all other nights.

When dissecting this discount, almost all of the discount is from the cost of your resort. The more expensive resort you stay in, the higher savings you will receive.

Walt Disney World has released their third Magic Your Way package discount covering these dates. Availability is limited at many resorts and many dates. This discount requires the purchase of a Magic Your Way package including your Disney resort and Magic Your Way park passes. The room portion of the package is discounted, and is very similar to the recently retired October – December MYW discounts. Both the Magic Your Way, Magic Your Way plus Disney Dining and Magic Your Way plus Deluxe Dining are available.

If your are a Disney VISA card holder, you should consider the Disney VISA free dining promotion available for basically the same dates, it is a much better discount for you.

Update: It appears this discount has been pulled by Disney as of this afternoon, and it currently is not available. Until further notice, consider this discount as non-existent.

Travel Dates: January 6 – April 30, 2009

Purchase a 2 night stay or longer at one of the Disneyland Resort or Good Neighbor Hotels, and include a 3 day or longer Disneyland Park Pass in your package, and all adults (10 and older) pay the same price as the kids on their park passes. 

Travel must be completed by 5/13/09. Offer subject to availability, so book early.

With this specially priced package, the room portion of your Magic Your Way package is discounted, other portions of the trip are regular price. Please note, if you booked a package during these dates earlier this year with the previously released MYW package discounts, you will not need to rebook, this is not a better discount (if you are staying at a deluxe resorts, it may be worth it to double check just in case).

All Disney resorts are available, though availability is extremely limited, and some dates may be blacked out. The discount covers value, regular and holiday seasons, so your price will vary depending on your travel dates.

This is a standard Magic Your Way package, with a discount on the room only portion of the package. If you happened to book the Free Disney Dining package previously available for some of these dates, under  most circumstances, the free dining is a better offer. If you are booked at a value or moderate resort, no need to do any math. If you are staying at a deluxe or DVC resort, it is possible that this new discount may save you more money than the free dining. In many cases, this discount will save you more than $100 per night at a deluxe or DVC resort, and depending on your family breakdown, may be a better deal.
