Walt Disney World has released room only discounts for the general public for travel during the travel dates listed above. Only the nights that are within the travel dates will be discounted. Your reservation can extend past the night of August 14, 2010, but only the night of August 14 and before will be discounted. Rates may not be available all nights, and weekend nights may be higher priced. This is an extension of the previously released Spring discounts.

These prices are for the room only, and do not include the 12.5% room tax. Please note that these rates cover both summer and value season (July 18 and later at the Deluxe resorts), so your nightly room cost will vary depending on the season of your stay. Weekend nights may be more expensive that weekday nights.
You are able to add Magic Your Way park passes and any of the Disney Dining plans to these discounted room rates, to make the reservation a Magic Your Way package. You must add park passes to the reservation on order to book one of the Disney Dining plans.

Travel Dates: January 4 – May 25, 2010
Walt Disney World has introduced a new Florida resident 4 day pass, entitled the Dream Pass. For $99 per person plus tax ($84 for children 3 – 9), you get a 4 day basic park pass to use at the four Disney theme parks. The park passes are base tickets, so one theme park per day. Hopping and the Water Park Fun and more options can be added to the tickets for $26 per person per add-on (the hopping would be $26, the water parks, $26.).
The tickets expire May 25, 2010, so you can make multiple trips over a few months on one pass. There are black out dates between March 27 and April 9, 2010 the park passes are not good at any of the Disney parks those dates. Dream passes must be purchased by May 21, 2010.

Travel Dates: January 3 – September 30, 2010
Active and retired military members can now book specially discounted room reservations, and save up to 40% off of the rack rate at select Walt Disney World resorts. Availability may be extremely limited during the following dates:
February 12 – 14, March 27 – April 10, May 21 – 24 and July 3 – 4, 2010
Availability may be limited, and not all resorts may be available for all dates. Some minimum stays may be required, weekday and weekend rates may differ depending on resort. Offer available to active duty military, activated reservists and retired military. Proof of Military eligibility is required at check in.
The 2010 Quick Service, Disney Dining and Disney Deluxe Dining plans are also available to add to the room only reservations, if you are interested in a dining plan. The dining plans are a great way to budget and save money while visiting Walt Disney World. Dining plans are not discounted.

Walt Disney World has released special room only discounts for Florida Residents. You must check in during the travel dates, however, you can extend your stay pass the ending date. Only the nights included in the travel dates listed above will be discounts. Availability is limited, though all resorts and room types are available.
There is a blackout period between March 27 – April 10, 2010. You cannot check in during the blackout period, and nights during the blackout period will not be discounted. Edit: as of March 5, 2010, Disney has removed the black out dates, you can now travel during that time and receive a discount.
Please note this is a two part discount., stays 5 nights and longer receive a slightly better discount than stays of 4 nights or less.

These prices are per night, and do not include the 12.5% room tax. Not all nights, weekend and weekday nights, are the same price, some weekend nights appear to be not available with the discount.
In the past, Disney had also released special Florida Resident MYW package discounts. The packages are based on the reduced room rates above, and include a FL resident MYW ticket and the option of adding on of the Disney Dining plans. At this point, the package does not appear to be an option, though I will update this thread if it becomes available.
