Does the Port Orlean-French Quarters qualify?
I’m only asking since it’s located in the Downtown Disney Area and the offer says it excludes Swan, Dolphin, and Downtown Disney

Ok, yes, the gift card can be used at just about any restaurant, including all that are in the parks or resorts (there are a few in Downtown Disney that don’t accept it). Most character meals are pretty inexpensive, compared to other table service restaurants, the only exception is Cinderella’s Royal Table, but that is 2 table service meals per person too.

Using the gidt card promotion, instead of purchasing the deluxe meal plan, pruchasing a less expensive plan and use the gift card to cover the additonal charges for character type meals?

Well, two things wrong there with your scenario. First, the travel dates for the gift card offer are January 3 – June 3, 2010, traveling in September would be outside the travel dates, so you would not qualify.

Secondly, Disney does not let you combine discounts. If there are 2 discounts for your travel dates, you will need to compare the two, and pick one of them.

Sorry Keith, I just copied the Bold print from above without realizing it was the black out dates.

So say we go in Sept. 2010 and it says here we have to book before March 27th 2010, (for this promotion). And in April they come out with the Free Dining Plan, do we qualify for this promotion also?

We do not know at this point about free dining for 2010. It is likely we will see it again, though we will not know for sure until the discount is released, probably in early April.

Between March 28 and April 10th is blacked out, you will not receive a gift card if you check in during these dates. If you book outside the black out dates, and had 3 rooms, yes, you would get 3 cards. The gift cards can be used basically anywhere on Disney property, including restaurants, gift shops and at your resort.

We usually visit WDW in the off season and use the Free Dinning Plan. Is it going to be offered this year (2010)?

And if we book between march 27th – April 10th, and had to have 3 rooms at on of the DW resorts would each room receive an gift card? And can that gift card be used towards food?
