Any of the other deluxe resorts (Beach Club or Polynesian, I would suggest) would probably be cheaper, and in my opinion, better. I might suggest you get a hold of a decent Disney only travel agent, they will be able to help you by getting prices, making suggestions, etc.

Hi - My husband and I are planning on taking the kids to Disney with the Florida resident's 2 Park $99 rate. Even though we only live an hour away we know nothing about the ins and outs of Disney. I've been reading thru your site and am interested in the Dining Card as well as some of the property discounts.

I would like to take the kids to the Wilderness Lodge Resort - it says that they are offering a discount for Fl Residents but the room big enough for 5 shows $525/night --that seems a bit much.

Any suggestions on lodging? We can pay up to $225/night - kids are 5-7-9. Birthday girl is turning 8 - looking for something "theme" like close to or on property.

Thanks so much - sorry for such a long email!

The dining plan can only booked as part of a MYW package that includes the Disney resort and MYW park passes. Therefore, if Disney releases free dining, it will only be made available to those who have MYW packages, and not room only reservation.

Disney never allows you to combine two discounts, you can compare the two, and pick which is best for you, but if there are two discounts that cover the same dates, you have to pick one. Similar to the current buy 4 get 3 free and the January - March package discounts, you can't get the package discount and the 3 free, it is one or the other.

If I booked with the special room rate with MYW passes and say free dinning was made available for my dates of travel would I be able to combine the 2. I spoke with a disney rep who checked with her manager and she said yes but then when I spoke with my travel agent she seems to think different. Any advice?

Why doesn't Disney bring back the one free and up to four additional tickets at $99 for a 5 day park hopper pass for the military? This would surely boost attendance in this current market...
